You push through, focus on what needs to be done, and try to seem like your life is fine. But trying to “feel better” or act like nothing’s wrong can be emotionally draining.
Sometimes, we’re not okay. And you don’t have to pretend you are.
Many creative, deep-feeling, and high-functioning individuals find it hard to reach out for help, especially from family and friends. Because you may fear you’re imposing or letting them down. You may also struggle to fully express how you feel because of how intensely you experience emotions and fear taking up too much space. You may feel like you have to dim your light to make others comfortable.
But you deserve a safe, supportive space where you can openly express your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. It’s not about never having bad days, but getting better at having them. A place that’s focused on you and your needs and where it’s okay to take up space.
My name is Anastasia. You can call me Anya.
I’m passionate about helping adults, teens, artists, and creatives:
I use an integrative, client-centered approach that incorporates alternative modalities that go beyond traditional talking therapy, like somatic experiencing and dance/movement approaches.
I work collaboratively with you at your pace — so you feel supported and can focus on the issues important to you. I aim to create a safe, judgment-free place where you can openly express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I offer sessions in English or Spanish.
Together, we will identify what’s holding you back and focus on the issues and challenges you want to address.
